Fred Schubert

From a Kansas farm to the big city (as a youngster working for the almighty dollar while attempting part time college) Fred moved to Colorado in ’77 and never left. Most of his working life was in the packing house industry and taking college business classes. After many years of various experience, he ended up settling into transportation logistics and eventually started his own business with his wife as Transportation Intermediaries. A decade a half in, they sold their company and retired.

Fred has been a frequent Salida visitor since he bought property here back in 2003, and has been fortunate to be a part of this community since. He and his wife built a home on the river in Poncha and are enjoying life in the South Arkansas Valley. Along with the enjoyment of Pickleball, E-Bike clubs, Fred enjoys projects in his yard shop while dreaming up the next one.

Fred has been around music and microphones for many years - recording live music and announcing different events, and decided to give the DJ life a try. He is glad to be a part of Sunny Side Up, right here in your back yard!
